With embedded portfolio intelligence, advisor-first insight resources, AI-powered note taking tool, and more, Citi is propelling its wealth management solutions to the age of smart innovations.

Citi Wealth, a division of global U.S. banking institution Citi Group, is introducing new AI tech capabilities for the proactive, data-driven and personalized client experience, as well as facilitating internal wealth advising routine.
Released on April 9, the AI tool suite includes:
- Portfolio Intelligence – means for the bank clients to get personalized portfolio insights at a click of a button;
- AskWealth CIO, new edition of AskWealth platform designed for advisors to access the latest insights from Citi Wealth’s Chief Investment Office in a chat-based interface;
- Client 360 – internal platform that unifies disparate client data for a comprehensive overview;
- CitiScribe, note taking tool that summarizes client discussions and key points, enabling actionable insights.
The components of this ecosystem are currently at different testing stages. CitiScribe has already been rolled out to all Wealth advisors in North America in Q1 2026. Client 360 is piloted with a select group of advisors in Citi Private Bank and Wealth at Work in North America. Full rollouts to these segments are scheduled later this month. AskWealth CIO is being tested within the Citigold, Wealth at Work and Citi Private Bank businesses in North America. Expansion is also planned to the remaining regions in the coming weeks. Finally, Portfolio Intelligence full rollout might take the longest. the client-facing AI tool is already available to Citi Private Bank clients in North America but will expand to Citi Private Bank clients globally in Q2 and all Wealth clients even later, by year-end.
Other initiatives are in the works, according to Joe Bonanno, Head of Citi Wealth’s Data, Analytics and Innovation team. At the same time, the bank doesn’t rush the innovation pace, especially when it comes to customer experiences, wanting to make sure of the AI tool best quality before actual launch.
“Citi Wealth aims to set the industry standard for client advice and service,” said Andy Sieg, Head of Wealth. “Our objective is to create an ecosystem of AI-powered tools that scale the identification of investment opportunities, spot risks and provide guidance for next steps.”
For the bank’s internal teams, select AI solutions have been available for years. Thus, Citi Assist searches the bank’s internal policies and procedures, while Citi Stylus is used to summarize, compare, and perform searches on multiple documents at the same time. The expansion of their variations and spread across segment subsidiaries and regions is a sure sign of the AI utility in internal banking processes.
