Deel and MoonPay have formed a partnership to support salary payouts in stablecoins for workers worldwide, with an initial rollout planned in the UK and European Union.

Deel, a global payroll and HR platform, and MoonPay, a crypto payments and stablecoin infrastructure provider, announced a collaboration that enables Deel users to receive part or all of their wages in stablecoins. Under the agreement, MoonPay will provide the conversion, wallet delivery, and payout infrastructure needed for stablecoin salary disbursements.
The service is scheduled to begin next month, initially supporting workers based in the United Kingdom and the European Union, with plans for a subsequent expansion into the United States.
Deel operates in over 150 countries, supporting more than 35,000 companies around the world across its payroll, HR, compliance and hiring products, and managing about 1 million worker contracts globally.
Stablecoins are currently one of the most viable alternatives to international money transfers with legacy financial systems, especially when it comes to enterprise payouts, including payroll, creator earnings, and gig-economy disbursements. Settling these payouts in stablecoins is particularly relevant for businesses operating across multiple currencies and in emerging countries.
Through the integration, Deel users can opt in to receive payroll directly to their non-custodial crypto wallets, bypassing traditional bank rails. According to reports, the move aims to offer an alternative to conventional cross-border payments by enabling near-instant settlement and broader accessibility for global workforces.
The partnership reflects a growing interest among global payroll providers and fintech platforms in using digital assets for salary disbursements, particularly for distributed teams and remote work arrangements.
To satisfy the demand for such types of payments, MoonPay expanded its push into the enterprise market last year with the acquisition of Iron, an API-first stablecoin infrastructure startup, which enabled the crypto payment service to offer companies the ability to accept payments in stablecoins, unlocking instant, low-cost, and borderless transactions.
