Google has expanded access to the beta version of the Play Games project for PC, with which users can play games designed for Android software on Windows devices.
In this case, there was an expansion of access in the geographical dimension. Now the beta version of the project is available to residents of more than 120 countries around the world. Previously, residents of 60 countries could play Android games on Windows devices. The list of States covered by the decision to expand access includes, among others, India and Argentina.
This project was first launched last year. Since then, the geography of the use of Play Games has gradually expanded. Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Singapore, Europe, and Japan were among the first regions where access to the game project appeared.
Google Play Games on PC are available on Windows 10 devices that have 4 physical processor cores, 10 GB of free space on a solid-state drive (SSD), an Intel UHD Graphics 630 or similar graphics processor, and 8 GB of RAM.
Currently, the game program is in the testing stage. This means that the final version of the project may include other requirements for devices. The tech giant announced that residents of India will be able to access the service in both English and Hindi.
Users need a Windows administrator account with hardware virtualization enabled to realize the ability to play games.
In addition to existing games including Eversoul, Lords Mobile, and Evony: Return of the King, access to Indian games such as Ludo King and Hitwicket Games has been opened. In total, the technology giant offers more than 100 titles under this project.
Users can synchronize the progress of the game on different devices, including Android phones, tablets, Chromebooks, and PCs. Last year, testing of keyboard controls for some Android games on ChromeOS started.
In March, Google launched an emulator for game developers that allows you to quickly debug digital developments. Also, the technology giant has provided for the possibility of integrating Android Studio. This solution allows developers to make adjustments and deploy games.
