Espresso (ESP) is a new cryptocurrency token that has been attracting attention across the crypto market over the past few weeks. This crypto tool is tied to efforts to support faster and more connected blockchain systems, which has made it interesting to both traders and observers of the broader digital asset ecosystem. However, real gains were brought by major exchange listings, de facto acknowledging its legitimacy.

Espresso is the native token of the Espresso network, a project built to help improve how different blockchains, especially “Layer-2” chains like those linked to Ethereum, communicate and process transactions. The idea is that its technology could make these networks work faster and more smoothly, reducing delays and improving interoperability.
The token also plays roles in the ecosystem staking, governance, and network participation, meaning holders can support the system and help make decisions about its future.
Espresso made its mainstream exchange breakthrough in early February 2026 but made real headlines only now. On Feb 12, 2026, ESP was listed on major global exchanges such as Binance for spot trading. Around the same period, it was added to other platforms like KuCoin and BingX, expanding its reach to many more traders. Weeks later, it was also listed on MGBX and major Korean exchanges Upbit and Bithumb.
These listings opened the token up to millions of potential new buyers and sellers around the world. The listing news sparked significant market activity and price movement. At its peak, Espresso’s price climbed to about $0.22 shortly after major listings. As it happens with most crypto currencies, public interest cooled off a bit after initial craze. As of the latest data, the token is trading in the range of roughly $0.17, but very high daily trading volume remains in place, meaning lots of people are actively buying and selling it.
This kind of price jump and high volume is common when tokens are newly listed on big exchanges, as wider access makes it easier for investors to trade, and demand can spike. Besides, listings on large exchanges are often seen as validation for a crypto project. When a token moves from niche platforms to global venues, it attracts more institutional and retail attention. That’s exactly the path ESP has taken. Its future, however, will largely depend on actual utility.
