OnePay Integrates Rakuten Card-Linked Offers to Make Rewards Easier and More Valuable

OnePay, the U.S. consumer fintech backed by Walmart and Ribbit Capital, has announced a new partnership with Rakuten’s Card Linked Offer Network (RCLON). The collaboration will integrate Rakuten’s merchant-funded card-linked offers into the OnePay rewards system, enabling users to activate and earn cashback offers directly within the OnePay app.

The new feature is designed to simplify rewards usage by eliminating the need to search for promo codes or manage multiple loyalty programs. Offers will be linked to users’ cards and automatically applied when qualifying purchases are made, supporting both OnePay-issued debit and credit cards and other cards added to the OnePay Wallet.

OnePay said users will be able to activate multiple offers at once, with no limit on how many can be turned on simultaneously. This is intended to make it easier for customers to earn rewards across a wide range of merchants and spending categories. Once activated, rewards are tracked through transaction matching technology, so users do not need to complete additional steps at checkout.

The partnership aligns with broader consumer trends showing strong demand for embedded rewards in financial products. Industry research indicates that 79% of consumers say rewards programs influence their loyalty, and 33% cite rewards as a key reason for choosing their primary credit card. Another report found that interest in new payment methods can rise by up to 72% when incentives are offered, highlighting the impact of rewards on user adoption and engagement.

Rakuten’s Card Linked Offer Network connects merchants, advertisers, and financial institutions to deliver cashback and incentives directly through card transactions. It applies rewards automatically when enrolled cards are used at qualifying merchants, helping brands drive customer acquisition while giving consumers seamless savings.

For OnePay users, the integration expands the range of earning opportunities available within the app and strengthens OnePay’s position as a single platform for everyday financial needs. The feature is scheduled to roll out in the OnePay app in 2026, with additional merchant offers and earning options planned throughout the year.
