OpenAI has provided a limited number of users with the opportunity to test a new set of search functions.
The mentioned functions will answer consumer questions, focusing on more relevant information arrays and applying prominent links to sources. The corresponding functional solutions are a direct challenge to Google from Alphabet Inc.
A new option called SearchGPT is debuting as a prototype available in a web browser. In this case, users will be given access to a standalone search, which may eventually be added to ChatGPT.
OpenAI said that as part of the interaction with the new solutions, consumers will see answers to their requests indicating the creators and publishers of news that have signed licensing agreements with the company in recent months.
SearchGPT also allows users to ask follow-up questions. It is worth noting that in this case, the context of the initial request will be taken into account.
OpenAI has not yet announced a launch date for SearchGPT. At the same time, the company announced that initially, this feature will be available to users who sign up for the waiting list.
OpenAI is currently working with creators and publishing partners to get feedback on the new tool.
It is worth noting that during the period of active spread of artificial intelligence, the issue of cybersecurity is of particular importance. In this context, it should be noted that fraudsters also have access to advanced technology. One of the tools to counter cybercrime is digital literacy. For example, a query in an Internet search engine, such as how to know if my camera is hacked, will allow anyone to get information about signs of unauthorized access to the device.
