PayJustNow, a South African payment solution for merchants that offers a “Buy Now, Pay Later” (BNPL) service, is now fully integrated with Peach Payments’ Digit Pro point-of-sale (POS) terminal solutions.
This integration provides Peach Payments’ POS customers with a seamless way to offer their customers BNPL as a payment option at checkout and capture transaction amounts automatically in the till (rather than manually entering them).
“The solution announced today offers easy PayJustNow integration into existing Peach Payments POS terminals for merchants,” said Anine de Kock, Head of Partnerships at Peach Payments.
PayJustNow said the integration combines BNPL and credit functionality within a single setup for merchants.
“This single integration offers both a BNPL and a credit product. For merchants, this removes the need for static, printed QR codes, giving them frictionless access to PayJustNow’s base of over four million consumers,” said Daniel Hawkins, Executive Head of Marketing at PayJustNow.
Fraud prevention and credit checks are included as well as the ability for merchants using the Digit Pro POS terminals to reconcile multiple transactions in one place without needing to have separate QR codes. The Digit Pro devices were successfully piloted with five merchant customers beginning in at least early 2026 and are currently being rolled out to their full merchant customer base.
In addition to offering a BNPL payment solution, Digit Pro devices can also run additional software applications that provide additional functionality for merchants (such as stock management, loyalty programs, and reward systems). Peach Payments was founded in Cape Town in 2012 and facilitates payment services throughout South Africa, Kenya, Mauritius and Eswatini. In 2025, Peach Payments signed an agreement to acquire PayDunya, a West African payment solution provider, expanding Peach Payments’ reach into the Francophone African market, including the countries of Senegal, Côte d’Ivoire, Benin, Burkina Faso, Togo, and Mali.
Peach Payments’ integration followed the firm’s earlier expansion into Kenya in 2018, Mauritius in 2021, and Eswatini in 2024. The company raised $30 million in funding in 2023 to support regional growth initiatives.
PayJustNow said it currently serves more than four million consumers through over 3,600 merchant integrations. The company reported facilitating more than nine million transactions since launching in 2019, representing transaction volumes of approximately R13 billion.
