Webb Fontaine, a global technology company that builds digital systems to help governments and businesses manage international trade, customs, and border processes using AI-driven advanced technologies, officially unveiled its Webb Fontaine Zerø, a next-generation, LLM-based Customs technology concept, at the 2026 WCO Technology Conference & Exhibition held at the ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi from 28 to 30 January 2026.
The new Zerø solution was presented during the opening keynote by Webb Fontaine Chief Executive Officer Alioune Ciss. He explained the purpose of the innovation: “With Webb Fontaine Zerø, we rebuilt our core platforms from the ground up, integrating AI into every layer of Customs processes. This is not an upgrade. It is a fresh start for an AI-driven era. Customs administrations need systems that evolve as fast as regulations and trade tariff rates change, and Webb Fontaine Zerøis designed precisely for that.”
Core customs operations involve data analysis across numerous segments: shipment details, declarations, trade history, etc. In this respect, AI tools are more efficient than human efforts. They can easily and quickly spot patterns that might indicate risk, such as fraud, undeclared goods, or errors. Furthermore, AI-powered international trade solutions can help the wghole customs system learn and adapt faster, automatically adjusting to new tariff rates and regulatory requirements. If AI facilitates those updates, trade and customs organizations software won’t need as much manual reprogramming by engineers as regulations change all the time.
At the conference, Webb Fontaine’s exhibition stand was quite popular, as delegates took part in hands-on activities and in-depth conversations exploring how emerging technologies can upgrade customs processes, increase revenue efficiency, strengthen border controls, and facilitate faster trade.
