Deutsche Post DHL Group aims to simplify the process of sending, receiving and tracking both letters and parcels
According to Ecommerce News, Deutsche Post and DHL Paket have announced a variety of new digital services and improvements. This way, the use of mail and parcel services is expected to become easier and more transparent. The new services include letter tracking, pictures of envelopes and a new Post & Paket 24/7 machine.
The Deutsche Post DHL digitization program will extend over 3 years, although many of the announced services will be available in 2020.
The new services will include stamps that contain a matrix code enabling better tracking of mail. What is more, customers will get an overview of the mail they will receive. For example, envelopes can be photographed and the pictures can be sent to the recipient’s email inbox.
In addition to that, the logistics company will launch DHL Live-Tracking, a service enabling the recipient of DHL Parcels to track the shipment. What is more, customers can also check the current position of the delivery van on a Google Maps map.
