Google Meet, the company’s video conferencing product, is now free for everyone. It means that from the beginning of May, anyone with an email address can sign up for Meet and use it.

As to major advantages, Google Meet includes simple scheduling and screen sharing, real-time captions, and layouts that adapt to users’ preferences, including an expanded tiled view.

The product operates on a secure foundation, keeping both users and data safe. Besides, these video calls are encrypted in transit, and all recordings stored in Google Drive are encrypted in transit and at rest.

As of April, Meet is hosting 3 billion minutes of video meetings and adding nearly 3 million new users per day.

We’ve reported that Google announced the rollout of its physical and virtual debit cards. The card integrates with a Google Pay app, enabling users to easily track purchases, check the balance, or lock the account.
