The drone delivery operation is reported to roll out at the beginning of 2021
Walmart has teamed up with Zipline to launch a drone delivery operation across the US.
The company revealed that trial deliveries will take place near its headquarters in Northwest Arkansas.
The new service will make on-demand deliveries of select health and wellness products and will potentially expand to general merchandise.
According to information, Zipline will operate from a Walmart store to serve a 50-mile radius. The drone delivery is claimed to take less than an hour and also eliminates carbon emissions.
We’ve reported that Walmart is launching a new membership program that reportedly brings together in-store and online benefits. It is called Walmart+. Members will receive unlimited free delivery from stores, fuel discounts, and access to tools for faster shopping.
