FIS announced an agreement with JCB, the leading issuer and acquirer in Japan and a global payment network. It means that Worldpay, FIS’ global eCommerce platform, will allow Japan-operated businesses to accept payments by JCB cards. Enterprises running their businesses in Japan received a comprehensive e-commerce solution.

​Worldpay merchants who sell online in Japan will be able to streamline their payments technology and settlements. It means they will accept more types of card payments through a single integration rather than multiple third-party contracts.

E-commerce market of Japan worth an estimated $162.8 billion in 2018, expecting to grow 28% by 2021. This way, merchants operating in Japan can broaden their payments portfolio to give consumers the ability to pay in their preferred way.
