The AQ PC platform by Ant Group now offers two main AI functions for medical professionals: Health Q&A and DeepSearch. Together, these tools assist with medical literature search, clinical practice, and research, helping reduce daily workload and improve access to reliable medical information.
Ant Group today announced an upgrade to the PC version of its AI-enabled health assistant AQ, adding a new feature called DeepSearch. This capability is designed to help clinicians access and organize medical evidence efficiently, strengthening support for clinical decision-making. The service is offered free of charge to clinicians and medical students.
Ant Group curates the information sources used by AQ carefully according to recognized levels of clinical evidence. The system includes more than 36 million high-quality medical publications, combining authoritative global research with local clinical guidelines, so the results are relevant to practical healthcare work.
DeepSearch enables clinicians to quickly retrieve the latest clinical guidelines and research findings across multiple medical specialties. By using AI to organize large volumes of professional literature around specific clinical topics, the tool saves time and effort in retrieving and reviewing information.
Beyond simple search, DeepSearch supports evidence-based clinical decision support. In real clinical settings, forming treatment plans, especially for complex cases, typically requires extensive review of guidelines and research evidence. DeepSearch helps clinicians stay up to date with current diagnostic and treatment approaches by summarizing supporting literature and offering structured, clinically relevant insights that can guide clearer, more robust care planning.
DeepSearch also includes traceable citations, filtering by evidence level, and quick referencing of key clinical guidelines, further reducing the research and decision-making burden on healthcare professionals.
AQ, also known as Ant A-Fu in China, was launched in June 2025 as an AI-native health service. For general users, the platform focuses on everyday health questions and supports healthy behavior guidance, especially for issues that do not require a hospital visit.
The app connects users to digital services from more than 5,000 hospitals nationwide and provides online consultation access to a network of licensed physicians. AQ has also partnered with over 1,000 leading physicians to create personalized AI Doctor Agents, which are digital assistants trained on each doctor’s expertise and answer common health questions. Collectively, these agents responded to over 27 million inquiries in 2025.
By January 2026, the AQ app has reached 30 million monthly active users and handles more than 10 million health-related queries per day, making it one of China’s most widely used and recommended AI health platforms.
