Startup Anthropic, which operates in the artificial intelligence industry, has launched its chatbot Claude and subscription plans for this digital product in Europe.
Currently, the mentioned company is striving to increase its customer base and is taking measures in the form of commercial solutions aimed at ensuring revenue growth.
Anthropic also reported that in Europe, in such spheres of activity as finance and hospitality, its software is popular. The corresponding digital product is now available to all users in the region.
The company’s Chief Executive Officer, Dario Amodei, says that Anthropic’s partners in the cloud computing area, including Amazon.com and Google will help to cope with the strict restrictions on the use of data for firms operating in the European Union.
The startup was founded by former OpenAI employees in 2021. Anthropic positions itself as a developer of responsible and ethical artificial intelligence. The startup also pays attention to selling services to corporate clients. It is worth noting that the relevant line of activity is what can be described as a common practice in the artificial intelligence industry.
In Europe, Anthropic will compete with OpenAI, which is already present in the region. Also, in the local artificial intelligence technology market, the startup will rival for consumer attention with European companies, including, for example, Mistral IA, a French developer of machine intelligence models.
It is worth noting that this year the EU adopted the AI Act. This law requires companies operating in the artificial intelligence industry to use adequate cybersecurity controls and report potential risks associated with applying their digital products. There are additional limitations for very large AI systems.
It is worth noting that during the period of active dissemination and scaling of the use of artificial intelligence, the issue of cybersecurity is particularly important. In this context, it is worth noting that scammers also have access to advanced technology. As part of countering cybercrime, user awareness is also important. A query in an Internet search system, such as, for example, how to know if my camera is hacked, will allow anyone to get information about signs of unauthorized access to the device.
