Apple presented the latest operating systems for iPhone, iPad, and Mac at the annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC).

Craig Federighi, Senior Vice President of the mentioned company, demonstrated the software during the keynote presentation of the specified event. The new iOS 18, which runs on the iPhone, will provide users with the ability to customize and secure their apps. In this case, among other things, a feature was launched with which Apple smartphone owners will be able to lock individual apps.

As part of iOS 18, email and text messages got new capabilities, including additional effects and the use of satellite connections to send messages. Also, in this case, consumers will be able to sort emails by category.

The new AirPods software will make it possible to better hear users’ voices during a phone conversation by removing background noise.

The Apple Watch has received additional health-related features, including enhanced pregnancy tracking and an app that instantly displays vital statistics. The redesigned watch face will use machine learning to present user photos on the device.

Also, Apple has presented its calculator app on the iPad. To a certain extent, this decision is a reaction of the technology giant to a long-standing user request. The new software for the mentioned device will take advantage of the Apple Pencil and provide consumers with the ability to solve equations by writing them down by hand.

The new Mac software is called Sequoia. In this case, iPhone mirroring on users’ computers will be simplified.

The technology giant also presented visionOS 2, the latest version of its software for the Vision Pro mixed reality headset. In this case, the operating system provides users with the ability to turn regular photos into 3D images and updates the interface with new gestures.

Moreover, Apple has announced plans to launch sales of the Vision Pro on the international market. Already this week, on June 13, the technology giant will begin accepting pre-orders for the mentioned device in Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, and China. Sales of Vision Pro in the mentioned markets will be launched on June 28. On the same day, Apple will begin accepting pre-orders for the Vision Pro in Germany, the United Kingdom, Canada, France, and Australia. Sales of the device in the specified countries will be launched on July 12.
