Commerce platform WEX has launched new artificial intelligence enhancements to its benefits administration offering.
On Monday, November 25, the mentioned company announced that it is currently working with some employers on a pilot implementation of two tools powered by machine intelligence. In this case, it means tools such as Benefit Assistant and BeneFITwise Premier. It is worth noting separately that the company made the mentioned statement against the background of the start of the open enrollment season.
WEX chief digital officer Karen Stroup stated that the firm believes that artificial intelligence can become a powerful and precise tool for solving the most pressing challenges of customers. She also noted that currently, employers are keen to drive well-being and retention without adding more to the plates of their HR teams. At the same time, she said, employees are looking for insights that can reduce feelings of being overwhelmed and help with the decision-making process.
The company’s press release contains information according to which both new tools use data to provide consumers with personalized and actionable insights for a list of scenarios related to health and finance. In this case, the goal is for employees to make informed decisions, and for HP departments to spend less time on employee inquiries.
At the same time, BeneFITwise Premier goes beyond traditional benefits management by offering a comprehensive, data-driven solution that simplifies the decision-making process for employees.
It is worth noting that last week WEX launched a digital shopping solution for its Medicare Advantage supplemental benefits platform.
