UnionPay boosts online payments to the UAE through a new partnership with Vaulsys, a payment options provider.
Vaulsys is deploying its systems in 3 Pakistan, Africa, and UAE to serve UnionPay cardholders across the Middle East and Africa.
Besides, the company aims to carry out business in UnionPay card issuance and acceptance, cross-border remittance, QR payments, and online payments via UPOP.
This partnership will also support SME businesses that have been impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic to launch their digital payment products and solutions.
We’ve reported that Uber has announced the acquisition of Careem for $3.1 billion. The company has become a wholly-owned subsidiary of Uber, preserving its brand. Careem and Uber will operate their respective regional services and independent brands.
