With more than 200 talks and 150 speakers on Bitcoin, Blockchain and AI, LABITCONF 2026 will take place on October 30 and 31 in Buenos Aires, marking its 14th annual edition as the oldest Bitcoin conference in the world and the most prestigious in Latin America.

Since 2013, LABITCONF has brought together those who build, think about and debate the future of money in Latin America. In 2026, under the theme HODL, the world’s oldest Bitcoin and Blockchain conference, and the region’s most relevant, arrives at BA Ferial (formerly Costa Salguero) in Argentina on Friday, October 30 and Saturday, October 31, with more than 200 talks and 150 speakers.
LABITCONF 2026 is backed by Exness and Nexo, among other sponsors, and is held as part of Tecweek, the Buenos Aires City technology festival. True to form, the event is designed to be enjoyed by all attendees, regardless of their level of knowledge.
“Every moment of LABITCONF 2026 is designed so that everyone who comes can get something out of it: from beginners who want to learn and take their first steps in the digital asset ecosystem, to longtime bitcoiners, business leaders, specialists, and government officials,” said Rodolfo Andragnes, founder and organizer of LABITCONF.
To get a clear picture of what’s ahead, the 10 MUST-SEES AT LABITCONF 2026 are:
- Latin America’s first monument to Satoshi
Buenos Aires will be home to the first monument in Latin America dedicated to Satoshi Nakamoto, Bitcoin’s anonymous creator. During the conference, its creators will explain how the work came to be and what place art holds in bitcoiner culture.
- Saifedean Ammous, in South America for the first time
The author of The Bitcoin Standard, the most influential book on Bitcoin, arrives in Buenos Aires with a packed agenda: an opening keynote; a debate on the future of Argentina’s Central Bank with local economists Iván Carrino and Yayi Morales; an intimate conversation with Spanish specialist Alberto Mera; a panel on the upcoming halving; and a book signing.
- Is a Bull Run on the way?
Across several talks, leading economists and market analysts, including CriptoNorber, Joven Inversor, Carlos Maslatón, and Juan Rodríguez, will assess whether Bitcoin is in what appears to be the run-up to a new meteoric rise. In addition, Italian physicist and mathematician Giovanni Santostasi will explain the Power Law theory, the model most widely used by corporate treasuries to forecast Bitcoin’s long-term price.
- Artificial Intelligence: from theory to building your own agent
AI will run through the entire conference with more than 40 talks, making it an essential part of the 2026 edition. In the opening session, Rodolfo Andragnes will reflect on why Bitcoin is even more relevant to the future of AI. Developer Maximiliano Firtman will reveal how close we really are to a “super artificial intelligence”; political leaders Martín Yeza and Dario Nieto will discuss the effect of this technology on the State; an OpenAI workshop will show attendees how to build agents that handle money; and panels will address practicing journalism amid AI, bots, and a turbulent financial news cycle.
- Bitcoin and politics: the conversation that can’t be avoided
In a roundtable, journalists and executives will analyze the impact of crypto scandals on politics. Lawyer Juanma Cáceres and others will also examine whether the State can seize your bitcoin, and David Zell, CEO of the Bitcoin Policy Institute, will bring an international perspective on regulation.
- Ramiro Marra on the future and investing
Businessman and former legislator Ramiro Marra will reflect on how investment should back the ideas that once seemed crazy but, thanks to the support of dreamers of a different world, can become reality.
- Protect what’s yours: self-custody and scam prevention
At a time when hacks and AI are making it easier to steal keys and crypto assets, and in a country where scams are all too common, dozens of hands-on workshops will focus on safeguarding funds: basic and advanced self-custody, wallet recovery, hardware wallets, how to plan a Bitcoin inheritance, and a free legal clinic to guide scam victims.
- The first live hackathon in LABITCONF history
For the first time, the conference will include a live hackathon, led by students from more than 40 educational communities, including faculties, student clubs, and universities from Buenos Aires and the rest of the country. Teams will compete for Bitcoin prizes in four categories: Financial Inclusion, New Education, Creator Economy, and Impact and Community.
- Much more than talks
LABITCONF is an experience, felt in everything it offers, from the first step inside the venue to the closing event on October 31: the HODLWEEN party, to which all attendees and speakers are invited to come in costume. The experience will also include La Bitcoineta, the emblematic van dedicated to Bitcoin education; games such as a mechanical bull; Satoshi Market, an area of entrepreneurs who accept Bitcoin payments; and book signings by local and international authors.
- Can quantum computing break Bitcoin?
It is one of the most unsettling questions of the moment, and LABITCONF devotes three sessions to it: an analysis of whether the threat is real or pure FUD (fear, uncertainty, and doubt), a panel that attempts to put a date on it, and a live demo of what a post-quantum Bitcoin would look like.
- The debate on Argentina, liberalism, and the future of the Central Bank
Rounding out the list of 10 must-sees for the 2026 edition, one of the most anticipated moments will be the debate between two heavyweights of liberalism: Saifedean Ammous, a critic of the monetary policies of Javier Milei’s government and of central banks, versus Iván Carrino, the local economist with a close understanding of the challenges ahead for the country.
TOP 5 TALKS AT LABITCONF 2026:
- Why We HODL: The Bitcoin Standard Revisited
Friday, October 30 · 10:45 – 11:30 a.m. | Saifedean Ammous:
The author of the number-one book on Bitcoin explains what he has learned in the eight years since its publication, which of his predictions proved right and which did not, and how he sees Bitcoin in a world of inflation, debt, and digital dollars.
- Buckle up: Is a Bull Run on the way?
Friday, October 30 · 3:00 – 3:40 p.m. | Norberto Giudice (CriptoNorber) and Agustín Natoli (Joven Inversor).

- Sound Money in Argentina: Reform the Central Bank or End It?
Friday, October 30 · 6:20 – 7:00 p.m. | Saifedean Ammous and Iván Carrino. Moderator: Yayi Morales.
Argentina is an open-air monetary laboratory. After decades of inflation, the government of Javier Milei promised to end it: zero deficit, an end to money printing, and a path toward monetary competition. Are the reforms on the right track, or have they stalled halfway? Is there a path to sound money for Argentina today? Where do we stand, and at what cost? Austrian theory meets the country’s real-world experience.
- Halving 2028: Impact on the Mining Industry
Saturday, October 31 · 5:30 – 6:10 p.m. | Saifedean Ammous, Dušan Matuška, Bruno Vaccotti and Nacho Pauls.
As the 2028 halving approaches, miners face a critical challenge: surviving on half the block rewards in an increasingly competitive industry. A discussion of the economic, technological, and strategic forces that will shape the future of Bitcoin mining.
- The Importance and Challenges of Self-Custody
Friday, October 30 · 2:00 – 2:40 p.m. | Lunaticoin, BTC Andrés, Matías Mathey and Adrián Treviño. Moderator: Franco Amati.
The leading Spanish-speaking self-custody specialists examine why controlling your own keys matters and what challenges it involves. A panel on security, tools, common mistakes, and inheritance, to understand how to take the step toward self-custody and sustain it over time. Because HODL also means learning to protect what you decide to keep.
