Trulioo integrates with Google’s Agent Payments Protocol (AP2) to strengthen the identity layer needed for secure AI-driven transaction execution.

Trulioo, a leading global identity platform known for its extensive person and business verification capabilities, today announced its participation in Google’s Agent Payments Protocol (AP2). Through this initiative, Trulioo will support the secure initiation and execution of agent-driven payments across digital ecosystems.
The announcement expands the company’s existing relationship with Google, which already relies on the Trulioo Global Identity Platform for KYC, fraud prevention, and abuse mitigation across its payments operations.
Google’s AP2, an open and standardized payments framework, connects financial institutions, fintechs, and merchants through a unified, secure infrastructure. The protocol establishes common rules for how AI agents initiate, authorize, and complete transactions on behalf of users, emphasizing transparency, compliance, and user protection.
Within AP2, Trulioo will apply its identity verification and trust-layer expertise to showcase how its Digital Agent Passport (DAP) can work with the AP2 framework to validate and authenticate agent-led transactions. Alongside the Trulioo Know Your Agent (KYA) framework, the DAP introduces a verifiable trust layer that ensures each digital agent is properly authenticated, authorized, and accountable before performing transactions.
“The future of commerce belongs to agents that can think, act and transact independently, but only if they can be trusted,” said Trulioo CEO, Vicky Bindra. “By joining AP2, we’re helping define the identity backbone for autonomous payments, where verified agents transact transparently, responsibly and at machine speed. This is the architecture, and the future, of trusted agentic commerce. We’re proud to be working with Google to bring verified identity to agentic payments.”
Research suggests that generative AI alone could add between $2.6 and $4.4 trillion annually to global GDP, underscoring why identity, authorization, and compliance frameworks matter now more than ever.
Founded in 2011, Trulioo provides the trust infrastructure essential to the digital economy, enabling businesses to scale globally, combat fraud and meet compliance requirements with speed and accuracy. Its unified platform integrates Know Your Customer (KYC), Know Your Business (KYB) and Know Your Agent (KYA) capabilities, supporting leading enterprises across diverse markets and industries as they navigate the secure, AI-enabled economy.
