Ecommerce News has found that Swappie, which sells refurbished iPhones online, is launching in Germany, the Netherlands, Ireland, and Portugal. The company started in Finland in 2016 and soon expanded to Denmark, Sweden, and Italy.

This announcement comes simultaneously with the news about the rise of a €42.5 million  Series B funding round from TESI.

Because we refurbish every device ourselves, in our own factory, we control the whole value chain. This means we can deliver the highest quality devices, under warranty, for much less than the cost of a new phone
Sami Marttinen, CEO and co-founder of Swappie

According to data, Swappie generated revenues worth over €31 million in 2019, which is a 300% increase compared to the year before.

We’ve reported that Walmart has announced its partnership with Shopify thus expanding its product catalogs and allowing Shopify to sell on its marketplace.
