The AI Wallet offers consumers access to a convenient agent payment dashboard and is intended for those people who use Alipay AI Pay services, where agents can complete transactions on behalf of human users. Token Pay, on the other hand, will allow AI model businesses to manage the new type of agent subscription payments, token top-up in AI agents, and similar business transaction types.

AI Wallet

Utilizing the Alipay app, AI Wallet can be accessed by searching for “AI Wallet” within the same application used to access the other features that are included in the Alipay Payments Platform. After consumers have initiated a transaction using an AI agent, they can manage, review, and confirm all aspects of their transaction through their finished transaction history with Alipay.

To ensure AI agents’ actions integrity, Alipay has earlier stablished an Agentic Commerce Trust Protocol, which will define the common framework for agent-to-partner AI payment transactions. The Agentic Commerce Trust Protocol was made live in January 2026 with multiple agent-commerce providers, including Alibaba’s Qwen App and Taobao Instant Commerce.

Token Pay

Token Pay, in turn, is a business-oriented offering designed for AI model companies. It covers global subscription payments, token top-ups within AI agents, and related transaction needs. At the conference, AI model companies MiniMax and Stepfun announced they would adopt Alipay’s full-stack AI payment solution for use cases including token top-ups, membership subscriptions, and marketing.

“Payments play a crucial role in enabling tenfold growth in the AI industry,” said Weiqi Hu, VP of MiniMax. “Together with Alipay, we will strengthen collaboration across multiple areas to accelerate the growth of AI commerce.”

Alipay AI Commerce Ecosystem

The new features add to the growing agentic payment ecosystem of Alipay, which already includes:

Both Alipay AI Pay and its AI health app AQ have each surpassed the 100 million user milestone. Besides, Alipay AI Pay has reached a record number of 300 million transactions to date since launch in September 2025.

“AI is redefining every layer of commerce. As AI agents begin helping people search for information, shop, order food, and even make money, payments are no longer just the ‘final step’ — they are becoming a capability embedded from the very beginning,” Lin Zhu, general manager of Alipay AI payment business of Ant Group said. “Only when trusted transactions, seamless payments and secure controls are all in place can agentic commerce truly take off.”

Alipay AI Pay enables payments through AI agents via voice commands, removing the need for users to navigate between screens to complete a transaction. The service has been integrated across a range of platforms and devices, including in-app AI agents and mini programs for retailers such as Luckin Coffee, Rokid AI smart glasses, Alibaba’s Qwen app, AI development platforms Coze and Qoder, and smart cockpit systems. In December 2025, Alipay also partnered with Rokid to allow developers integrate AI payment into agents built on Rokid’s Lingzhu platform, using the MCP model. This tool helps deploy payment capabilities via natural language rather than manual coding.

The agentic AI market reached $5.2 billion in 2024 according to Market.us Research, and is projected to expand to $196.6 billion by 2034 — a compound annual growth rate of 43.8%. Meanwhile, the total agentic commerce transaction value in 2026 is estimated as $8B and its value may be growing at a total cumulative growth rate of 43,240% throughout 2031, reaching $3.5 trillion in 2031.
