Confirmo Launches EU Stablecoin Payouts For Cross-Border Business Payments

Confirmo, a global stablecoin payment infrastructure provider, has begun processing mass stablecoin payouts for EU businesses.

Confirmo Launches EU Stablecoin Payouts For Cross-Border Business Payments

This development is possible due to the fact that the crypto firm was granted approval earlier this year by the Central Bank of Ireland to operate with payment systems following EU (Payment Services) Regulations 2018.

With Confirmo Payouts, companies can send billions of dollars to users around the world using either an API integration or Confirmo’s regular dashboard. The settlement is available in leading stablecoins across major blockchain networks. New solution is built for use cases including remittances, payroll, and trading settlement.

Cross-border payments through traditional banking channels typically take several business days to settle and cost around 6.5% of the transferred amount on average, according to the World Bank. Stablecoin payouts settle in seconds and at a fraction of that cost. EY-Parthenon research cited by Confirmo found 41% of organisations already using stablecoins report cost savings of 10% or more compared with traditional payment methods.

The launch comes after MiCA’s transitional period ended on 1 July, 2026, after which crypto payment providers without full licensing in the EU were no longer authorised to operate in the region. This narrowed the field to a smaller group of authorised providers in a growing market. Confirmo says running payouts under a payment services authorisation, rather than solely a crypto licence, puts regulated stablecoin transfers on the same regulatory footing as traditional payment rails.

Confirmo Limited, established in Ireland, holds a dual authorisation from the Central Bank of Ireland: as a Crypto-Asset Service Provider under MiCA, and to provide payment services under the EU (Payment Services) Regulations 2018. This allows the company to passport its services across the EEA from a single regulatory base, serving clients in all 30 EEA states without separate authorisation in each member state.

Derek Corcoran, CEO, Europe, Confirmo Limited, said: “The crypto industry never stops evolving, and neither will Confirmo. Delivering Payouts in the EU means EU businesses can move regulated stablecoins at the speed their operations actually need, whether that’s payroll, trading settlement, or remittances. It sits right at the intersection of crypto and traditional payments, which is exactly the space this licence was granted to cover.”

With EU Payouts now live, Confirmo’s payout infrastructure spans multiple global corridors, giving businesses a single regulated partner for outbound cross-border payments.
